| 背面描述 | The Pistrucci-style reverse depicting Saint George, helmeted and cloaked, mounted on a rearing horse facing right, driving a broken lance downward into a writhing dragon beneath the horse's hooves. The composition fills the field in bold relief with a beaded inner border. The date 1937 appears in the exergue below the main design group. |

Edward VIII abdicated in December 1936 before any currency bearing his effigy entered circulation, making all coins depicting him either patterns struck in anticipation of his reign or later fantasy pieces produced for the collector market. This 2004 issue falls into the latter category — a privately produced piece with no official Royal Mint authorization, trading on the enduring commercial appeal of the abdication story rather than any monetary or governmental mandate.
