Obverse description Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King Edward VIII, rendered in high relief with fine hair detail, occupying the central field. The portrait is uncrowned and undraped, in the manner of the proposed coinage designs of his brief reign. A continuous Latin legend encircles the effigy within a beaded border, reading EDWARDVS VIII D:G:BR:OMN:REX F:D:IND:IMP:

Reverse description The Pistrucci-style reverse depicting Saint George, helmeted and cloaked, mounted on a rearing horse facing right, driving a broken lance downward into a writhing dragon beneath the horse's hooves. The composition fills the field in bold relief with a beaded inner border. The date 1937 appears in the exergue below the main design group.
