Fantasy pieces imitating Dutch provincial coinage have circulated among collectors since at least the mid-twentieth century, produced outside any official mint authority and carrying no legal tender status in any jurisdiction. Zeeland was never an issuing province for Dutch decimal coinage — the unified Kingdom's cent denominations were always struck centrally, making any "provincial" attribution a confection from the start. These pieces exist purely as medallic curiosities.
