A fantasy piece issued under the "Beatrix Gelderland Province" attribution — a category produced by private mints for the collector market rather than by the Dutch state. These were never authorized by De Nederlandsche Bank and carry no legal tender status. The timing, 1981, places it within a wave of such issues that flooded the market following Beatrix's accession to the throne in April of that year.
