| Obverse description | Centrally struck in the field is a bold floral or foliate device rendered in a stylised Sikh artistic tradition, consisting of a large multi-petalled rosette or leaf spray radiating from a central point. The design is executed in high relief against a flat, unadorned field, characteristic of the hammered copper coinage of the Peshawar mint. The irregular flan displays the typical characteristics of hand-struck production, with slightly uneven edges and surface texture consistent with contemporaneous Sikh copper issues. No legend or inscription is present on this face. |
