| Beschrijving voorzijde | Hammered copper flan bearing a bold Arabic legend in two registers divided by a horizontal line, reading 'Zarb Murtada' in the upper register and 'Murtaza Nizam Shah' in the lower register, attributing the issue to Sultan Murtaza Nizam Shah II. The inscriptions are rendered in a robust, somewhat archaic Naskh hand typical of Ahmadnagar Sultanate copper coinage of the early seventeenth century. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edge, consistent with hand-hammered production. The field is flat with no decorative border. |
