Reverse description Reverse of this irregular hammered copper flan bears a partially visible Arabic inscription referencing the regnal date. The legend, reading 'fi shuhur sanah 939' (in the months of the year 939 AH), is struck in a loose cursive hand across the flat field. The die is notably off-center and the legend is partially off-flan, consistent with the crude manufacturing standards of Ahmadnagar small copper issues. The surface shows heavy patination with reddish-brown and olive-green toning.
