Muhammad Adil Shah ruled Bijapur for three decades during which the sultanate reached its territorial and cultural peak, yet his coinage remains poorly systematized in the literature. The Kanara Noor mint is rarely attested across denominations, making fractional copper issues from this facility genuinely uncommon in any condition. Copper fractions circulated hard in the Deccan market economy and survivors with legible mint attributions are the exception rather than the rule.
