Obverse description Hammered copper flan of irregular round form bearing the Arabic legend of the sultan's name and title in raised relief across the field. The inscription reads 'Muhammad Adil Shah Sultan' in bold Naskh-style Arabic script, executed in a typical Bijapuri manner with pellet-like terminals to the letterforms. The surface shows characteristic hammer-struck irregularities with a granular, pitted field surrounding the central legend. Die alignment is variable, and the legend may appear partially off-flan due to the crude hammered striking technique.
Obverse script Arabic
Obverse lettering محمد عادل شاه سلطان
