Reverse description Reverse bears a three-line Arabic mint and issue legend in raised relief within the irregular field, struck in the same crude Naskh-style script characteristic of Bijapuri copper coinage. The legend reads 'Zarb / Daru'l-Mulk / Bijapur' (struck at the seat of sovereignty, Bijapur), with provision for a Hijri regnal date that is frequently absent or illegible on surviving examples due to the poor quality of the flan and strike. The surface is heavily granular and pitted, with die rust and metal flow visible around the lettering.
