Reverse description The reverse displays the mint name and Hijri date in bold Arabic script arranged across the field in two registers. The upper register bears the mint name Tetuan (تطوان) and the lower register carries the Hijri year 1272, all within a plain circular border. The inscription is cast in a characteristic angular, somewhat naive style consistent with Moroccan falus coinage of this period.
