| Reverse description | Irregular square flan with bold Arabic calligraphic inscription in raised relief, occupying the central field and extending toward the margins. The legends are arranged in two or more lines in a robust, provincial Naskh-influenced hand, typical of Malwa Sultanate copper issues of the 15th century. The flan edges are uneven, consistent with hand-cut copper planchet preparation, and the surface exhibits a green-brown patina characteristic of long-buried copper coinage. |

| Additional information |
The Malwa Sultanate operated from Mandu, a fortress city on the Vindhya plateau, and maintained remarkable independence from Delhi through most of the fifteenth century. Its copper coinage was largely functional — struck for local market circulation in a region that was agriculturally productive and commercially active enough to sustain its own monetary economy without constant reference to the Delhi model.
KM# A50 is a broad attribution covering output across multiple sultans, making reign-specific assignment difficult without die study.
