Obverse description Irregular rectangular flan with a raised border framing the central field. The legend in bold Arabic script reads 'Jahangir Shah' (جهانگیر شاه), struck in a characteristic Mughal calligraphic style typical of early seventeenth-century copper coinage. The lettering is broadly executed, filling the available field, with the hammered strike producing slightly uneven relief across the surface. Patination is a mottled reddish-brown with areas of green cuprite encrustation consistent with prolonged circulation.
