Reverse description The reverse carries the regnal date written out in Arabic words distributed across the four margins of the field, a distinctive feature of Alaouite fulus coinage under Sultan Isma'il. The date, corresponding to AH 1101 (AD 1690), is rendered in full Arabic lettering rather than numerals, following the convention established for this series. The field is otherwise plain, and the flan edges are irregular due to the hand-hammered casting technique. Surfaces show typical wear and corrosion consistent with circulation use.
