Reverse description The date of issue is prominently displayed in Arabic-Indic numerals at the center of the field, enclosed within an elaborate interlocking hexagonal geometric ornament composed of angular, star-pattern strapwork. This decorative framework, rendered in high relief, fills the entire flan with a dense lattice of intersecting bands forming pointed lobes and small void spaces throughout the border zone. The geometric complexity of the design is consistent with late fifteenth-century Central Asian decorative arts traditions. The irregular flan edge is characteristic of hand-hammered copper coinage of the period.
