| Obverse description | Irregular hammered copper flan bearing bold Arabic calligraphic inscription in the field, rendered in a cursive Naskh or Nashk-derived style characteristic of Golkonda Sultanate coinage. The legend is arranged across the face in two or three lines, occupying the majority of the field with minimal border decoration. The surfaces display natural copper patina with areas of verdigris encrustation consistent with age and burial. The edges are irregular and uneven, typical of hand-struck square copper falus of the Deccan Sultanates. |

Abd Allah Qutb Shah ruled Golkonda for nearly half a century — the longest reign of any sultan in the dynasty — yet coinage from his rule remains poorly systematized, with the GG reference series itself representing some of the earliest serious cataloging effort for this sultanate. The fractional copper denominations are particularly underrepresented in collections outside the Indian subcontinent.
