| Reverse description | Irregularly shaped reverse flan displaying a multi-line Arabic legend in Naskh script arranged horizontally across the field. The inscription reads 'Al-Khalifa Abu al-Fath, may his caliphate endure,' acknowledging the Abbasid caliph and asserting legitimacy through caliphal sanction, a hallmark of Delhi Sultanate coinage of this period. The strike is bold though somewhat off-center, with the legend partially clipped at the periphery due to the irregular flan shape. The surface exhibits the dark patination characteristic of aged billon, with moderate die wear consistent with heavy circulation. |
