Obverse description Central floral or foliate motif occupying the field, rendered in a stylized decorative manner characteristic of late 19th-century Afghan provincial copper coinage. The design exhibits crude, irregular relief typical of hand-struck hammered production, with floral branches or petals radiating from a central point. The flan is irregular in shape with a roughly granular border. Strike quality is typical of provincial Herat mint issues of this period.

Reverse description Arabic inscription occupying the central field, accompanied by the mint date expressed in the Islamic AH calendar corresponding to 1297 AH (1880 AD). The legend is crudely struck with characteristic irregularity of provincial hammered copper coinage from Herat. The text is distributed across the flan in a manner typical of Afghan falus issues, with the date rendered in Arabic numerals. The overall surface exhibits heavy porosity and wear consistent with circulation use.
