| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a stylized feline figure — identified in numismatic literature as either a lion or snow leopard — rendered in a schematic, boldly struck manner characteristic of Qarakhanid copper coinage. The animal is depicted in a frontal or near-frontal pose, with simplified body contours and decorative details typical of Central Asian artistic conventions of the early 11th century. The design occupies the majority of the flan, with the irregular hammered edge visible at the periphery. Traces of a beaded or linear border may be present around the rim. |
