| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized lion passant to the left in high relief, rendered in the Mongol-Islamic artistic tradition with pronounced musculature and a solar disc or radiate device rising from its back. Above the lion, a two-line Kufic Arabic legend is inscribed within the field, identifying the ruler Uljaytu Khan. The entire design is enclosed within a double beaded border, with additional marginal inscription running along the inner rim. |
