| Reverse description | Reverse field filled with multiple horizontal lines of Kufic Arabic legend in relief, occupying the majority of the flan in the characteristic Abbasid epigraphic style. The inscription is rendered in bold, angular Kufic script with no decorative border or marginal legend visible. The surface shows a dark brown patina with areas of malachite green corrosion concentrated toward the lower right of the flan. The planchet is irregular and slightly cracked, consistent with hammered copper coinage of the mid-second Hijri century minted at al-Fustat. |
