Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Kufic Arabic legend presenting a portion of the Shahada (declaration of faith), arranged in horizontal registers within a plain inner circle. A secondary circular legend in the margin records the mint name Jabal al-Fidda and the regnal year AH 155, separated by decorative elements. The entire design is enclosed by an outer dotted border typical of Abbasid copper coinage of the mid-second century AH. The script is rendered in an early angular Kufic style, characteristic of provincial Abbasid fals production under al-Mansur.
