| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents multiple horizontal registers of Kufic Arabic inscription filling the central field, with partially legible letterforms visible through heavy wear. A distinctive vertical element or dividing line appears near the upper portion of the field, separating sections of the legend. The surface shows extensive green and brown patination characteristic of buried copper coinage from Khurasan. The irregular flan edge reflects the hand-hammered technique employed at the Balkh mint circa AH 150 (767 CE). No mint name or date appears to survive in a legible state on this example. |
