| Reverse description | The reverse displays a prominent central Arabic legend in bold raised relief, enclosed within a circular inner border. Surrounding this central device is a distinctive outer border composed of a continuous series of raised triangular or tooth-like ornamental elements, uniformly spaced around the circumference, forming a decorative pellet-and-triangle border characteristic of Timurid fals coinage. The central inscription, struck in a confident naskh or Kufic script, likely contains the mint name Bukhara and the AH date. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show typical wear and dark copper patination associated with circulated hammered coinage of the early 15th century. |
