| Obverse description | Aniconic field bearing a multi-line Kufic Arabic religious legend arranged in horizontal registers and enclosed within a single circular border. The central inscription carries the shahada formula affirming the oneness of God. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show the characteristic coarse fabric of early Abbasid provincial copper coinage, with a green-brown patina over the entire field. |
