Reverse description Aniconic field bearing a three-line Kufic Arabic inscription arranged in horizontal registers within a single circular border, recording the mint formula and the name of the issuing governor. The legend reads from top to bottom, identifying the place of striking as Hims (Homs) and the responsible official as Marwan ibn Bashir. The flan is irregular with a heavily granular surface typical of hammered provincial copper fulus, covered with an olive-green patina.
