Obverse description Three-line Arabic inscription within the field, bearing the name and titles of Sultan al-Mansur Lajin Husam al-Din. The legends are struck in the characteristic bold Mamluk script style typical of late 13th-century Damascus issues. The coin exhibits the irregular flan shape common to hammered copper fals of this period. The surfaces show considerable wear consistent with circulation use.
