| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script arranged in horizontal registers, containing the name and titles of Sultan Kayqubad I. The legend is enclosed within a dotted inner border, with a further marginal inscription running along the irregular scalloped rim. The die-struck lettering is bold and slightly worn, characteristic of hammered copper coinage of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm. |
