背面描述 Multi-line Arabic inscription filling the reverse field, arranged in horizontal registers within a beaded border. The legend, typical of Rum Seljuk fals coinage of Kaykhusraw I, contains the ruler's name and titles in Kufic-influenced Arabic script. The lettering is boldly struck though partially obscured by wear and the irregular shape of the flan. No mint name or date is visible, consistent with the undated nature of this copper issue. The epigraphic style reflects the Persianate chancellery tradition of the Anatolian Seljuk court.

附加信息

Kaykhusraw I issued this copper fals during his first reign, before his expulsion from Konya by his brother Suleiman II in 1196 forced a years-long exile spent largely at the Byzantine court in Constantinople. His eventual restoration in 1205 — aided in part by Byzantine support — makes the coins of this first reign politically distinct from his later issues, struck by a ruler who had navigated exile and returned.
