Reverse description The reverse presents a multi-line Arabic inscription in relief, occupying the central field without decorative borders or marginal legends. The letterforms, rendered in a bold hammered style consistent with Anatolian Seljuk copper issues of the mid-thirteenth century, display characteristic overlapping strokes due to the compact arrangement of the text within the flan. The irregular rim and granular surface texture of the copper are consistent with the hammered production technique of Rûm Sultanate fals coinage. The legend, partially affected by the uneven strike, identifies the issuing authority or contains a religious formula standard to Seljuk copper issues.
