Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription arranged in three or four lines, conveying the ruler's titles and name, enclosed within a beaded or rope-pattern inner border. The legends are executed in a bold Naskhi script typical of Seljuk of Rum copper coinage. The irregular flan and characteristic hammered fabric are consistent with provincial mint practice of the early 13th century.
