Additional information

Jund Filastin — the military district of Palestine — was one of the four administrative divisions established by the early Islamic conquests, and coins struck in its name are among the more geographically specific issues of the Umayyad provincial copper series. This fals dates to the mature phase of Umayyad rule, roughly two decades before the Abbasid revolution of 750 AD would extinguish the dynasty entirely and relocate the caliphate's center of gravity from Damascus to Baghdad, ending Syrian-Palestinian administrative primacy for good.
