Obverse description Hammered copper fals with a central field bearing a kufic Arabic religious legend arranged in multiple lines within a circular border. The inscription proclaims the shahada and identifies the mint as Sijistan, rendered in an early Abbasid epigraphic style. The field is slightly concave and irregularly struck, as typical of hammered provincial coinage of the revolutionary period. A marginal legend encircles the central inscription within a beaded or rope border. The surfaces show characteristic porosity and green patination consistent with prolonged burial.

Reverse description Reverse field contains a multi-line kufic Arabic inscription naming the governor Imran b. Isma'il and invoking a Quranic injunction to fulfil covenants and uphold justice, arranged within a central rectangular cartouche or linear border. The legend is distributed across four lines in an early angular kufic script characteristic of mid-8th century provincial Abbasid issues. A circular marginal legend runs along the outer rim, separated from the central field by a plain or beaded inner border. The die is irregularly centered, and the flan is uneven in thickness, consistent with hammered production. Patination is dark olive-green with areas of earthen encrustation.
