| Obverse description | Central field bears the Arabic Shahada inscription arranged in multiple lines within a single or double annular border. The legend is rendered in early Kufic script, characteristic of Umayyad bronze coinage of the late 7th to mid-8th century. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, with the die-struck inscription occupying the majority of the field. The surrounding border consists of a beaded or rope-pattern circle enclosing the central text. Typical of anonymous Umayyad copper issues, no figural imagery is present. |
