| Reverse description | Central field displays a three-line Arabic Kufic inscription arranged in horizontal registers, reading the Shahada or a related religious formula, enclosed within a partial linear border. The strike is irregular and the flan shows typical casting and hammering irregularities associated with provincial Sijistani mint production. The field around the inscription is flat and unadorned, with no additional symbols or decorative elements visible. The die is characteristic of anonymous Abbasid fals struck at Sijistan (Sistan) between the 2nd and 7th centuries AH. |
