| Obverse description | A lion passant to left occupies the central field, depicted in a stylized manner characteristic of Mamluk copper coinage, with its tail curled upward and looped over the back. The figure is rendered in relatively high relief against an open, unadorned field. An Arabic legend encircles or flanks the device, referencing the sultan's titulature and the mint of Tripoli. The strike is typical of hammered provincial coinage of the period, with somewhat irregular flan edges. |

| Reverse description | A plain inner circle frames the central design, within which a six-petaled rosette is prominently displayed in relief. The petals radiate symmetrically from a central boss, executed in the conventional decorative style found on anonymous Mamluk fals coinage. The surrounding field outside the inner circle is largely plain, consistent with the simple iconographic program of minor copper issues of this series. The overall strike is irregular, reflecting the hand-hammered production method of the Tripoli mint. |
