Obverse description Within a circular border, four lines of Arabic inscription presenting the sultan's full honorific titulature. The legend reads from top to bottom across the field, with no additional decorative elements. The lettering is executed in a compact Naskh-style Arabic script characteristic of late Mamluk copper coinage. The inscriptions identify the ruler by his honorific epithets preceding his name.
