| Obverse description | Central six-pointed star (Star of David form) of larger and wider proportions than the corresponding dirhem type, rendered in Naskh script throughout. The triangular segments of the star are blank or contain minute, largely illegible scrawls. The surrounding circular legend, inscribed in Arabic Naskh, reads Al-Malik al-Nasir, identifying the ruler al-Nasir Yusuf II. The field between the star's points and the marginal legend is plain. |
