Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic religious inscription enclosed within a beaded or linear inner circle, flanked by a six-pointed star above and below the central text. The marginal legend, consisting of a continuation of the Arabic epigraphic band, is partially cropped and largely illegible due to the irregular flan and characteristic striking weakness of hammered copper coinage. The overall style is typical of Ayyubid epigraphy, with angular Kufic or early Naskhi script elements.
