| Reverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription contained within a beaded or linear inner circle, conveying mint and/or regnal information consistent with Ayyubid fals coinage of Saladin. A cropped marginal Arabic legend encircles the inner circle but is substantially off-flan due to the small, irregular planchet. The die workmanship and epigraphic layout follow standard Ayyubid copper issue conventions, with modest relief and flat, worn surfaces typical of circulated hammered bronzes. |
