Reverse description The reverse displays the mint legend arranged within a hexafoil frame, a design device characteristic of this issue. The mint name 'Hamah' (حماة) is separated by two interlaced rope motifs, creating a distinctive decorative band across the centre of the hexafoil. A partial border of pellets is visible along the left arc of the coin. The overall composition is bold and well-centred relative to the irregular flan, consistent with Balog's classification of this type.
