Obverse description Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription in thuluth script, reading the royal titulature of Sultan al-Nasir Faraj. The legends are arranged horizontally across the flan and separated by a row of pellets, a decorative device typical of Mamluk copper coinage. The script is bold and deeply struck, with characteristic Mamluk calligraphic styling. The irregular flan edge is a natural consequence of the hammered production technique. The overall surface shows a warm copper patina consistent with prolonged circulation.
