| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field features a prominent circular or spiral concentric device similar to the obverse, enclosed within a raised ring border. Fragmentary Arabic legends are disposed around the central motif in the surrounding field, though strike weakness and corrosion render portions of the inscription illegible. The irregular flan, typical of hammered Mamluk copper coinage, results in incomplete legend coverage at the margins. Surface exhibits a heavily corroded reddish-brown patina with dark ferrous encrustations. The design adheres to the standard aniconic Mamluk fals type issued under al-Nasir Faraj. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Al-Nasir Faraj inherited the sultanate at age ten following the death of Barquq in 1399, and his reign was defined almost entirely by the catastrophe of Timur's invasion — the sack of Damascus in 1400 left the Mamluk state financially gutted and administratively fractured. Copper fals from this period circulated in an economy stripped of confidence, with silver and gold coinage hoarded or melted as Timurid pressure destabilized trade routes across the Levant.
Faraj was deposed, reinstated, then finally executed in 1412 by his own amirs near Damascus.
