| Opis rewersu | A circle encloses the central device of a lion passant surmounted by a pellet or point above, rendered in a schematic style characteristic of Mamluk fals coinage. A circular Arabic inscription runs around the outside of the inner circle, occupying the surrounding field. The design is struck on an irregularly shaped flan with uneven surfaces and patinated green corrosion typical of base-metal Mamluk issues, with portions of the marginal legend partially off-flan. |
