Obverse description Central field displays a bold geometric cartouche of diamond form enclosing a square compartment, within which appears a stylized Arabic inscription or royal blazon rendered in schematic relief. The design is characteristic of late Mamluk fulus struck under al-Nāṣir Muḥammad IV, exhibiting the rough, irregular fabric typical of hammered copper coinage of the period. The flan is irregular in outline with uneven surfaces showing natural casting porosity and heavy green-brown patination. Legends, if present, are largely illegible due to die wear and the crude striking quality inherent to this denomination.
