Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, arranged in horizontal registers across the flan. The legend references the ruling sultan Al-Mu'ayyad Shaykh. The strike is characteristic of Mamluk hammered copper coinage, with slightly irregular flan edges and moderate die wear. The surface shows an olive-brown patina consistent with long circulation.
