Obverse description Central field bearing an Arabic legend in Naskh script, enclosed within a double dotted border forming a circular frame. The inscription, struck in low relief typical of Ayyubid-era hammered copper coinage, occupies most of the flan. The surface exhibits characteristic irregular fabric and dark patination consistent with medieval Syrian copper issues.
