| Obverse description | Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription in naskh script reading 'al-Sultan al-Malik / al-Kamil Muhammad / ibn Ghazi', naming the Ayyubid ruler al-Kamil Muhammad II. The legends are contained within a plain linear border. The flan is irregularly shaped and struck on a coarse copper planchet typical of Ayyubid hammered provincial coinage. The surfaces display an extensive green patina consistent with prolonged burial, with moderate wear to the high points of the lettering. |
