Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription within a lobed, beaded inner frame. The legend reads 'al-Malik al-Aziz' in bold Naskhi script, identifying the Ayyubid ruler. The lobed frame is defined by a continuous row of raised pellets, forming a decorative border. A further marginal legend in Arabic script encircles the composition between the inner beaded frame and the irregular coin edge. The overall design is typical of Ayyubid hammered copper coinage, with the inscription filling the field in a compact, formal arrangement.
