Reverse description The field is enclosed within a beaded border and divided by a triple horizontal line into registers. The upper and lower registers bear Arabic inscriptions recording the regnal year, presented in the characteristic Mamluk epigraphic style. The plain fields between the dividing lines and the border are undecorated, consistent with the austere aesthetic of Mamluk copper coinage from this period.
